Professional Darts has been at a virtual shut down worldwide over the last two months due to COVID-19. No live PDC TV Events anywhere in the world. The PDC, however, has kept the fans interest by a unique Event  ‘DARTS AT HOME’which we mentioned back on April 16th. It was very different from anything seen before – virtual Darts.  Over 100 players took part over firstly 32 consecutive nights and then an additional 11 nights after a 6-night breather. Four Players each night in a round robin, each match featuring two Players, each in their own home in a best of 11 legs match. The vast majority were in the UK joined by European Players, Australian, American & one from Hong Kong who either got up very early or, as in Hong Kong, at 5am in the morning. A technological & logistical nightmare was met & overcome.

Our man DAN DAWSONcommentated & presented all 42 nights from his home in Birmingham, all linked together so that the viewer could see both boards & Dan on their home screen via PDCTV-HD & YouTube. It was a great success with World Ranked No7 Nathan Aspinall the eventual Champion. DAN was the glue that kept it all together & is to be commended for this marathon with his humour, undoubted Presenting skills & his in depth knowledge of The Professional Player Pool from the top Stars to the rookies just starting a Professional career.

The Event was picked up on Television globally, which will only enhance his rapidly growing reputation.
